My Story
Get to Know Me
I was born in Portland, OR, but spent most of my childhood in Northwest Fresno, raised by my mother, grandmother, and step-grandfather, Mr. Benny Hern. Growing up, I had a multicultural upbringing, with my mother's family being mainly of Irish and Armenian descent, my father being of Spanish and Native American heritage, and Mr. Hern being African American. This allowed me to experience and appreciate different cultural lifestyles and perspectives.
As a child, I never felt like I belonged to a specific group, as I enjoyed playing soccer and handball with one set of friends, while spending time with a different demographic of friends and acquaintances in the classroom playing Pokémon cards. I was also interested in both sports and the arts, finding joy in drama classes and video games.
After completing my education, I landed a job in retail, where I excelled due to my adaptability and problem-solving skills. Eventually, I was promoted to a management position at the age of 23, where I had to make critical business decisions that would impact a store generating over $80 million in annual revenue. It was during my time in retail that I met my wife, Laura, and together, we have three children, Galileo, Eros and Ander.
After the birth of our first child, we decided to embark on the journey of homeownership. It was a dream that I never thought was possible, but we were able to make it happen. I enjoyed the process of exploring different homes, both in person and online. However, as my career in retail began to feel increasingly routine and focused on pleasing stockholders, rather than prioritizing employees and customers, I started exploring other options.
That's when I discovered my passion for real estate. I wanted to help guide people who, like me, never thought they could own a home. I left my career in retail management to become a Realtor® and use my experience to help others navigate the home-buying process. My goal is to hold my clients' hands throughout the process and help them achieve the same dream of homeownership that I did.
